ReMix:Mega Man 2 "ROBOVoice" 1:24
By Joe Redifer
Arranging the music of one song...
"Flash Man Stage"
Primary Game: Mega Man 2 (Capcom , 1988, NES), music by Manami Matsumae, Takashi TateishiPosted 2000-05-03, evaluated by djpretzel
This one just CRACKS me up . . . ace contributor Joe Redifer used a program called VocalWriter to create a Megaman remix, based off the Flashman stage music from MegaMan 2 . . you can view the lyrics; they're quite amusing, and the remix itself is fun too . . I'm glad I started this site, cause if I hadn't, the world might never have been exposed to downright bizarre, but CREATIVE mixes like this :)

Ah! I remember listening to this while working in the commons back in college. I have nostalgia for this piece of nostalgia.
I think some of the comments on this piece aren't taking into context how much the remix scene has evolved. This was practically the beginning. Back in my day, yadda yadda yadda.

Not much to say here... very short, cheap instrumentation, really lackluster vocals that seem to suck the noise out of the rest of the song? Very odd. Iunno, plus I just didn't find it funny in my opinion. Sorry Charlie.

Oh dear...
Let's not beat around the bush here, this is a rough and ugly mix that exists purely to get a smile, or at most, a chuckle from its listeners. It's not long enough or complete enough to do much else.
The quality of synthetic vocals are horrendously below standard and hard to decipher; the lyrics maybe funny but I wasn't laughing.
There's a reason that the FF5 ROBOvoice has become an endearing classic, and this one is largely obscured. This is more a demotape for its far more enjoyable and listenable twin.

Those opening synths are... buffed up? static-shaky? brushed with a comb? Whatever. They're kinda goofy-sounding on their own. The titular ROBO voice kinda bleeds and overpowers the synthwork, but the lyrics are, of course, enticing and worth a chuckle. I really crack up at "man" after the "mega" spam - it hurriedly quiets down like the voice is too embarrassed to finish saying "Mega Man." Oh, you.
Ending is PERFECT. First, the fanboy lyrics do a total 180 as the singer realizes the blue bomber succumbed to sequelitis. Then, the final words and the fadeout (during a verse, no less) reflect the rage quit mentality. (Or, you know, maybe the fact that Flash Man's stage music has been played twice with pretty much no changeups is a greater contributor to the robo's "I am getting sick of this" tidbit.)

Interesting. It's funny for sure, and the computerized voice was pretty different for what I used to hearing. Also, the music itself was good, which is a no-brainer considering the source. But it seems to me that it has a few kinks in coming together. I liked the idea, but I think those few issues caught up with it in the end.

Whoa, this is mixed really weird. It's so muffled I actually like it in a weird way. The mix itself is unremarkable though. It seems like a preparation for the other robovoice mix, which is like 20 times better all around.

Oh man, crappy brass samples, vocals sounding waaaay too far in front muffled, and silly/repetitive. Not a fan of this, even as a joke song - only 1:24 long too!

Unfortunately, this one doesn't compare to the FF ROBOVoice. That being said, it still has its charm, and is a nice razz to Capcom. I understand the voice is computorized, but the lack of emphasis on the right syllables still bothers me. Cute mix, a funny listen, but nothing compared to the ChocoRoboVoice (much more fun to say that too).

Doesn't hold a candle to its conceptual successor, Final Fantasy 5's "ROBOVoice." Lyrics here aren't intelligible enough and are too loud. Arrangement's pretty by-the-numbers as well. Definitely not one that aged well.

The voice doesn't sound too bad.Since it's a Mega-Man mix, shouldn't it sound a bit robotic?
Nice lyrics, they really stick in your mind.
All in all, its a pretty cool mix.
Its really good, but I find that the voice is hard to hear :S
And the other ROBOVOICE song kicks ass too, and the vocals on that are clear as water.

I think for the vocals to fit properly, it should have been slowed down a bit. Regardless, it's decent, but not as good as the classic Final fantasy one.

Joe got right to the case, Megeman IS funto play, but all the sequels and otgher bosses with it takes away the magic with it, but personally I´ve found them amusing, same with this song, only complaint is the "hellyeah" part, I´m not the dude that swears.
The music itself is good, that synth was good along with the synthpiano. Nice beats too, and the voice didn't sound all too robotic.

...after matching the words with the voice, all I can say is...
funneh!!!!

Wow, I haven't ever played Mega Man, and I don't even care for the series, and I still love this song. Any song that starts with "Oh [insert Game Name Here] is a fun game yay!" Is worth a listen, and this one is just too darn catchy to stop listening to!

This song is just too TRUE!! It's the reason why I got board of MM in the first place

Oh, Mega Man is a fun game, yay!
It leaves me wanting lots more
Oh, hell yeah
Mega Man is a fun game to play
In fact, I never get bored
Mega, Mega, Mega, Mega, Mega, Mega, Mega Man
Mega, Mega, Mega, Mega, Mega, Mega, Mega Man
Oh, Capcom found out how much I play
They want to make a sequel
Oh, hell yeah
Those folks at Capcom they have no shame
Make tons of sequels they will
Mega, Mega, Mega, Mega, Mega, Mega, Mega Man
Mega, Mega, Mega, Mega, Mega, Mega, Mega Man
Now I am getting sick of this game
Just too many damn sequels
Oh, God, no [begin fade out]
Please shoot me
