ReMix:Super Castlevania IV "House Party" 2:39

Arranging the music of one song...
"Vampire Killer (Stage 10 Dracula's Tower 1 BGM)"

Okay people, lame as it is, I'm putting a huge disclaimer on this one: it was merely a test. Not only a test of my new setup at my new house, but a test of composing a song without a single sound coming from my trusty ASR-10 - everything here is Kawai K5000 or Gigastudio. It ain't great, and I'm not gonna count it as my Castlevania ReMix for the year as I wanna do something with more depth, but as a test run of my setup, and for two hours effort, I deemed it worth posting. Oh well, at least the organ's fun. Humor me and download it ^^

This track goes from 0 to funky instantly. I do agree that the frequencies dabble a bit high at times, but those occasions don't bring the track down. It was a solid effort when DJP was testing his new equipment back in the day, this remix still holds up on my playlist. ?

Not my favorite kind of lead as others pointed out. But it doesn't stop me from enjoying the track. As usual, I'm loving DJP's signature rhythm organ.

It's like there's a secret Castlevania level hidden in Streets of Rage 2; or in other words, I like it!

A djpretzel mix, through and through.
There is a sense that this was a "quicky", and there is overbearing sense of familiarity in the arrangement. There isn't a whole lot to it, but really, does there need to be? djpretzel does his thing, and then it's over. It's not crazy, it's not sublime. It's just a mix with an intent to please and I can't see a reason why it would fail to do that.

decent remix, nothing amazing. but as you said, it was merely at test.

The lead is pretty hardcore in the higher frequencies; I would agree that pain is involved. The arrangement here is really nice though. AnSo style before it was all the rage.
Lots of crazy analogue funk, and some great counterpoint. I really think the star of this one is that organ, which does some great syncopated bits.
Cool stuff.

So I just found this in my stash of Castlevania remixes tonight, and it's like being at a roller disco fighting the undead with a whip. It's ridiculous. In a good way. I really like it a lot, as my Last.fm profile will soon betray.

I dig this tune. I dunno what people are talkin' about with the weird noises and ears hurting... You people need to go listen to more music. For this song, it might be a little weird... The organ is purty slick, though. And the drum programming is timeless. Download it. Do it now!

The original song from Castlevania 4 is one of my favorite songs in video games. It is nice to see it remixed this way.

Hahaha, this is great. Certainly groovy and funkalicious.
Nicewerk Pretz.

Groovy it is! This is one of my favorites.
If this was merely a test, it is a successful one!
