Goofy, hyper, pure, unadulterated fun of the overweight Italian plumber variety comes in the form of our first SM All-Stars ReMix, from LousySpy. Of course, this basically just means the music is from several mario games and is more of a medley. A funky drum track, spastic slap bass, chords that sound a bit like underwater ducks (probably just to me on that one), game samples, and a nice trumpet that takes the lead and also does some fun soloing. Nothing too ambitious or serious, just an enjoyable + upbeat track with solid playing and mixing, well constructed and gratiously contributed by LousySpy. Dig the bass / drum solo too - groovy.

Kinda short and at some points you can hear it's age, but all in all I actually liked this one. I'm going to have to agree, DJP was the closest to describing the underwater duck sounds of it, and while certain themes didn't blend or stick out as well as others, I don't think this is bad at all. Mario's voice sounds were a great addition in this one. Nice stuff.

If you're going to call it the ending level fanfare, don't you think it should actually be the song you're remixing? I wouldn't take Final Fantasy 6 boss battle music, remix it and call it Main battle music. Seems Silly is all. It's a decent track otherwise, just slightly misleading.
Or you're just anal retentive about what themes are allowed. That's pretty much it.

Amazing job well done on this mix....
It can get a bid repetitive at times... but after a while you get used to it...
Very well done!

Pretty silly stuff, with some dated samples, but it was cute.
Gets pretty repetitive though.

Even in so short a mix, there's so many smile-worthy highlights including, but not limited to:
- the drums' rapid-fire beats
- the way the trumpet quotes the main theme at 0:59
- the slap bass during Mario's pasta dreams
- Mario's screams at 0:13 and 1:46 (I always get a chuckle out of those)
- the ending
Pure, unadulterated homage. What more could you ask for?

I can't take this mix seriously.
This is definitely worth listening to just for the experience.
Great job.

This is an awesome remix, and one of my favorites on the site. Mario music has always been my favorite, right up there with Zelda, Earthbound, and Zombies Ate My Neighbors.
Well, I know there are people on here with a better ear, so grab a USF plugin and take a listen to the soundtrack, easily found here.
Open up "Powerful Mario", which is the music from the flying hat. Now, I believe that this remix sounds an awful lot like that. But, both the remix and this game music sound like the star music from SMB.
So what's the verdict? DOWNLOAD THE REMIX, it's awesome! Sure, this remix might be from a bunch of Mario games, last generation and back a few as well. I say All-Stars would be the only logical place to put it, as All-Stars was a compliantion anyways.

What song is the main melody? I know it! arrgg! But I dont know! Its not the SBM overworld song, what is it?!
It is everything mixed! In the truth this seems one remix of Super Mario 64.
But only seems...
