This is one ReMix that was a long time coming. Jazzflight submitted it a long time ago in a galaxy far, far away, and we lost touch. Well, with the positive memories and good nostalgia vibe generated by Gux's recent Little Nemo mix, JF decided to resubmit this much-enhanced version. He writes: "Man, I really loved this original song. Note: it's only 20 seconds long in the game. My remix is 4 minutes and 7 seconds. It just has that "fun, addictive" nature to it, I couldn't resist. =D ". I have to concur - this is the type of theme that makes one feel as if one is floating over clouds, looking down upon the world below. Or maybe that's just the Jim Beam talking. Either way, the treatment here is unique, with a jazzier drum kit running more of a techno duty at times, and at times doing more of a laid-back thing. Synthetic 'computer speech' intros us off, verbatim from the game, but we also get the great reprise of "Sleepy time, let's go!" which brought a smile to my face. Love the deeeeep bass and kick drum, and the way electronic elements and emulations of acoustic instruments are intertwined. This piece kinda defies categorization, which is a very good thing. Details - at 2'26" there's little country twang thrown in for good measure that adds character. I also dig how this piece ends - not really a fade, not a dead stop, more of a ritard and gradual 'de-orchestration'. Very hip, very original, lotta style, and fun to listen to.

It's got some good and slightly more bad. Tweak the intro a bit. And maybe modify the instrument set used.

Probably could've done without the intro, and...come to think of it, I didn't really like much of this remix, though some of the main melodies were charming at times.

The spoken stuff at the beginning is pretty tacky. Samples are also brutal. The beat over the beginning really is unnecessary, and the way this song progresses is very basic repetitive.
Not a fan of this by any means.

I, like many others, hate the intro to this. It brings things into a realm that is just so wrong for where the rest of the mix goes. If it was breakneck drum and bass stuff, maybe. But it's like oil to water with the hooky simpicity that follows.
Once the intro is a memory, things get very sweet very fast. Even though the samples are dire, I do like how everything comes together. And I really think the source has been arranged quite beautifully. It most definately redeems the opening narration for me.
Good choices and bad choices abound in this one. Glad to say the blemishes get flushed out early on, leaving a lot to enjoy afterwards.

I loved Little Nemo as a kid, even though I could only beat it once. In my opinion, all the LN Remixes are great. This one may not be that catchy, but I felt like it fit in with the story-telling spirit of the game (hence the voice). I was inspired by these tunes to play the game again (and beat it) and to read the original comics by Winsor McCay (check your library system).
Go Jazzflight!

I can't say I'm a fan of the mix overall, but I can see that a lot was done to make an apparent 20 second source into this. The intro is indeed too long, in my opinion. The voice doesn't do it for me, either. I never liked narrated pieces (usually) anyways.
Just not doing it for me, sorry.

I have to agree that I dislike the intro, but the song really does get very, very good. The very last part is beyond fantastic, and I only wished it had come sooner, and more often. Production wasn't astounding, but it served the song well enough, and the sounds used meshed well.

I really appreciate the intro speech. It lets you know up front what the song is all about. Straight to the point.

I absolutely loved this mix. I only wish there were more Nemo remixes to please my ears, for it was and still is my favorite game of all time. There still is nothing like the amazing world that Capcom and Winsor McCay created. Those giant mushrooms, powerful animals, bizarre enemies just the entire amazing landscape captured me at a young age, and impressed me much more than any Mario game. After all, I just replayed this game a few days ago. I am long tired of SMB games. The intro to this song kind of annoys me, but the rest is pure brilliance. The fade out, to me is the absolute best part. I can't imagine a better fade out than the gradual decompisition of the different elements.

I couldn't believe the limited responses and limited happiness over this track. I guess the game was too obscure. Well, I loved the game and I love this remix. Jazzflight deserves much respect for it. It's my favorite remix from this site so far. The composer takes 20 seconds of music and just builds on it tremendously. While half the stuff I find on here seems to be copies of the original music just technoed (no offense to anyone), Jazzflight actually creates original tune for this to add on and make great. I love the robotic voice at the beginning. It makes me think of a beginning adventure and gets me excited to hear the song all over again each time.

oddly enough i hated the intro and like the rest. The song got good 1:30 seconds after it started. This mix is average. Kinda boring, and by all means that intro is awful! Could be worse, but could be much better too. 5/10

Little Nemo 'Goodnight, Little Nemo'
Gotta love the Hawking-esque intro narration! Other than that, I can't say this is something I'd listen to on a regular basis, as the musical style doesn't really rub me the right way. But it's good at what it does, I'll give it that much.
