StarChild reworked this a bit and I'd say it's improved. Though we've had a few Zelda 64 mixes on this site, the Gerudo theme has gotten all the love, so this mix is welcome and addresses that problem nicely. Starting with a simple shaker sound that cleverly changes emphasis when the jolly underlying chords intro, the mix then gains a bass and a strong delayed chirpy lead synthline. The theme itself is a rather simple major-key diddy, but the bridges are capitalized on by the bass dropping out and some interesting drum breaks (heavy on kick-only rolls, which you don't hear too much). There's an especially good drum seg around 2:40 where you can really hear the phasing on the bass drum. Ending is a little weak, as it fades out on the same rolling kick pattern, and it could have used a different lead sound for certain segments and perhaps a better string sound, but the chorus is strong and well-realized.

The bells are way too sharp in this mix and really, production of this ReMix goes from one end of the extreme to the other as it progresses. Certain samples just seem off and it kinda snowballs the more that gets added. Sorry, didn't really dig this one.

I went back and forth on this one awhile. On one hand, I'm a big fan of the Lost Woods theme, and this is the only pure of mix of it on the site (not that I mind mixing Lost Woods and Windmill Hut; I think they work great together), but on the other, the sound is kind of screeching and distracts from the music itself. In the end, I decided to pass on this, but had the lead instrument been a different sample, I probably would have kept it, since the arrangement itself isn't all that bad.

Mixing is all over the place on this one. It's pretty indistinct sounding, and the levels of all the instruments are not quite gelling. Way too much reverb on just about everything, and there seem to be random intonation issues, like some samples weren't tuned.
Sorry dude, not a fan.

Wow !
It's thanks to this song that I know OCRemix !
I searched Lost Woods in google, 2 or 3 years ago, and I found out there was a website that post Remix of video game soundtracks . I listened to the song, Memories of Saria, and I thought it was Impressive !
So, Aetherius, this is an awesome remix !!!

Well, I say this song already has enough oomph, it's just that something is overpowering the main saria tune. I can't put my finger on what, maybe it's many little things. Anyways, this is a good song overall, it's in my playlist for good.

Hmmm I dont know...I find this one to be VERY exact with a midi file on VG Music. The mix is good but I don't like it when they are exactly as a Pure mp3 version of the midi file...

this is the first song i ever downloaded from ocremix, way back about a week after it got posted.this was my favorite song for a while. but now it isn't.
there is so much dj starchild could have done.
Bd is too soft and quiet. needs more oomph . the 2nd melody seems to overpower everthing else, it just pissed me off.
Well...for a second remix, it's pretty well the best I could do. And, it being two years later...I wouldn't even make anything similar to this remix....indeed, I haven't remixed since my Brink of time remix got rejected...*sighs* good times.
Anyways, a favourite song? Are you out of your bloody mind?
I'm quite surprised by the number of people who actually gave this good reviews...and were able to type....

This track is just...strange. I had to listen to it a few times to decide if I liked it or not. It's okay, and an interesting version of the Saria's Song, but it's not one of my favorites. However, I do think it is worth downloading:-)

The opening notes sound like a carnival and pierce through your brain. I'm sorry, but this one just doesn't do Zelda any justice. No hard feelings.

I like the techno feel to this song. I don't think this song is generic, because it still has its happy little tune intact. Now, is happy generic?

An average-length track that is enjoyable, and for being just a tad repetitive, it really does fly by.

Hey, I've heard this song (well, not quite THIS song) on VGmusic.com!!! Even so, it's still a great music, but not one I'd want to listen to repeatedly. More like a special occassion thing. Happy dance moments aside, it is a worthy remix, just not a great one.
