First submission from badlsdtrip, and one I should have posted a long time ago. Doing some early Spring cleaning on the inbox from hell, lately. This is a really simple, minimalist hip-hopish rendition of the main Kung-Fu music. This ReMix isn't indicative of fantastic arranging skill, extreme musical abilities, or amazing technical prowess, but what it does show is a great ear - all the ingredients are very simple but they all work, and work together, and in the end that's enough. Drum loop used is used well, and is played with at times, usage of sound effects (reverbed & echoed - love these) is great, and the bass and melody synths, while simple, just sound RIGHT. Great example of doing a lot with a little, in my book, as this mix could have been made using any number of free applications and readily available sounds. Brings Kung-Fu into the new millennium with some gangsta style and panache. Recommended.

I just finished downloading the torrents of the first 1900 OC ReMixes. I started listening to them on random, and this was one of the first to be played. I really like how simple it is, yet it really brings some attitude. Getting all the remixes is paying off already!

Not digging this one at all.It sounds like like the original + drums and sound effects. A LOT of sound effects. As in, way too many.
Counterpoint: this mix is an awesome old school piece. What it lacks in complexity, it makes up for in humor. Tre bien.

Damn this is dope. It's REALLY dirty and really simple. I'd totally drop it at a ghettolicious party.
I actually recommend this tune in a local mag.

I can´t believe I haven´t reviewed this yet. One of my all time favorites definitely. Downloaded this YEARS and YEARS ago and still like it. Dang. It rules.

This song rocks. The sound effects get a little repetitive, but I love the bassline. The other thing I don't like is the part at about 1:06 when the 8-Bit sounding instrument comes in... It's a little bit out of place. 7.5/10

very cool. the samples were used really well. some may call it repetative but I though everything was done just right. the drum and bass work was also quite excellent. not the greatest remix ever but certainly and good listen.

This is a pretty sweet remix of such a primal tune. Basically, it's an 8-bit remix of an 8-bit game. Especially for a first submission, it rocks my face off. I look forward to more!

Heh. I think the voice samples are what gives this piece its charm. "Hiyah!" "Uhngh!" The bassline kicks too. One of my favorites.
