Alrighty - hadn't seen anything from Mr. NoppZ in awhile, so when this, our first ReMix from any of the Asterix games, popped up in my mailbox, I knew I was in for some good new mixage from a consistent and consistently flexible ReMixer. First thing I noticed were the drums - more decidedly acoustic and more pronounced and edgier than most of NoppZ' previous stuff. Using delayed pizzicato, layered flutes, straight quarter-note piano chords, and an obstrusive string section, and later bringing in some scratchin' and synth pads, NoppZ offers almost seven minutes of music in this epic undertaking. Quality is consistent throughout, with the core melody explored, doubled, and harmonized to comprehensively. After awhile, the piercing nature of the rim snare did become a little abrasive to my ear, but that might simply have been because I had the volume a wee bit too loud - tis good stuff. I never got into Asterix (mostly a European thing, from what I gather) or any of the games, but I can dig this. I wholeheartedly recommend that even if you've no knowledge whatsoever of who or what Asterix is or is about (if you're really curious, do the emulation thing), you check this lengthy piece of mix out. I don't think you'll be disappointed. Now I wanna hear NoppZ do some alternate genre work, like lounge jazz or obscure electronica :) Recommended.

A calm, well tuned and arranged ReMix of 3 single tracks.
I could listen to it in an endless loop to fall asleep (and that's not bad) :)

A little dated, sure, but this has always been nice and chill. The arrangement was handled pretty conservatively, but was all pieced together nicely.

well done NoppZ.. I really like it.. It's simplistic, but really nice. I just had to write a comment.. :)

Please make more! :D

Very old skool OCR vibe on this one. Decent textures throughout, though it just seems to go on and on.. Production is clean enough, and things sound good, though the samples seem pretty lifeless to me. I think part of it seems like it's just a series of cut and pastes. There aren't really any interesting drum fills, or variations between repetitions.

It was Aite, but somewhat dated.

The song is a little close to the originals, but I thought it but a nice spin on them. After checking out the game after hearing this mix and hearing the tunes, the thought that came to mind is how NoppZ put life into them. Specifically, the Londinium music is was sped up and a little groove bias added. It did tend to drag on a bit though- the three songs I felt didn't mesh that well to form a cohesive song. The transitions weren't bad however. Nice overall.

I am a big fan of NoppZ. But I can´t consider it as a ReMix. It´s pretty near of the original tracks, like I remember them from the game; so far away of the submission standards. Although happened that, I still love it.

be sure to get my favorite mix of his, Final Fantasy IV - Damcyan Gangsters (extend this bi0tch!!)

I could if you post a link.

Anyway, this remix gives me a flashback of X-zibit's "X" theme song. It might be the rythum of the piano and bassline in correspondance to the beat.

Interesting stuff. I likey!

This is definitly a song of good quality! Even though it's longer than what I would prefer, it still keeps me intrested. Definitly well done.

Cool remix, well-done and very long, but that's not a bad thing as it doesn't really get repetitive (from my perspective, at least). An imaginative listener may be able to envision Astérix on a long journey, not rushing toward his goal but traveling at his own pace.

Will definitely make it to my regular playlist due to coolness.

oldschool rb’s the name and its done very well. the bass and vinyl scratch are two things i happen to dig. not much else stands out individually, but taken as a whole this is great to chill to

as long as you’re checking out NoppZ, be sure to get my favorite mix of his, Final Fantasy IV - Damcyan Gangsters (extend this bi0tch!!) surprisingly, the guy also has some great solo piano mixes: Zelda 64 - Ocarina Piano and Final Fantasy VII - Aeris Theme (Piano)

This remix is interesting in that it's not exactly laid back per se, nor is it energetic. It seems to know exactly where it is and where it's going, aand isn't in any rush to get there. I also love those quarter-note piano chords! There so, so, FUN! I like it. :)

This is a really fun mix to listen to, and its length helps ensure that the one gets to experience alot of different sides of NoppZ remixing skills. I am curious however, what genre does this music fit under?

Wow! I have the game and I had never thought that from the music it can make a good remix. But it can! It's a happy and good remix. I like it.

8/10 (1=worst; 10=best)

I really like this one. I have been a long time fan of Noppz unique remixes. I really like his style.

3 ways is a happy (as always), damn nice song if you ask me. My personal top10 list has a new member... :)
