Arranging the music of one song...

Newcomer Digimatic is a friend of AE. Newcomer Digimatic has created a Castlevania 2 ReMix that shares much in common with AE's tunes and is what one might expect if AE mixed other music from games other than Mega Man (specifically, MM2). If that ain't sayin' a mouthful, I don't know what is. With a highly-programmed feel to it and generous heaping portions of audio effects being applied to Club Kukeiha's gothic masterpiece original, you know it's gonna be fun. This is the famous town music taken to the next level, with amazing drums in particular, but also great, and again expertly programmed, synth work. Honestly, saying "AE does Castlevania" would give you the best picture of this ReMix, save that it's not from AE. From the breakdown at 2'41" to the overall level funkdafication, though, you'd be forgiven for thinking so. This is some of the best Castlevania arranging I've heard, in any genre, and if you haven't gotten the message thus far, you should be clicking that download button post-haste. Highly recommended; an ace first submission that should be difficult to follow-up. Cool name too :)

absolutely sick work on this track, everything is excellent and though i think nowadays the production could be improved just a little, nothing can touch this arrangement. Varied, interesting, a stellar source track, there isn't anything amiss with this one.
Highly recommended. If only Digimatic wasn't so elusive. Two remixes in seven years is way less than i'd like to hear.

The best remix for my favorite tune from NES era.. Never heard anything better.. Digimatic rules!

woot! kick-ass track! I love Simon's theme but I love this song even more! I do prefer aneurym's version (on his site) more but this is still sweet! Alot of cool beats and effects, nice song digimatic!

This track rules the internet. Digimatic, why the hell haven't you released more remixes? If you're not being paid to make music for a living right now, the world should be hurled into the sun. Castlevania forever buddy... Castlevania forever.

first ocremix I downloaded, and definitly one of my favorites. there's really no bad points that I can think of; amazing arrangement, effects, samples, execution. if I had to give out one perfect score and only one, this would be the mix I'd give it to.

Wow, I can't believe I haven't reviewed this one yet... Well, I can't really add too much except I think this is easily one of the best mixes on the site. It's mixed perfectly, and I love the lead. Great all around. I just love it! Excellent job Digimatic!

I downloaded this thinking "Hmm...this looks kinda familiar." Brought back some great memories of a great game. Excellent mix!

Ahh.. Just listened to this remix after a while. It sounds so damn good! It´s one of the best (if not THE best) remixes on this site. Too bad I have never heard the original or even played Castlevania2, but you can really picture what the original sounds like when listening to this. Cool breaks and fills and effects all around and an excellent, athmospheric lead line. Oh man. This is GOOD. I have to listen to it again... and again... and again...

I love the classical intro, it really brings out the medeival, vampiric feel of the castlevania series out. Then, when it blows out into techno synths, you'd think it would be quit offensive in contrast to the classical stuff, but somehow it works. It gives it a sort of full, echoing, airy quality that's harder to get with classical instruments. Then, the classical stuff comes back in before the techno stuff gets too diluted and boring. Unique in that it's more classical than orchestral, and that it mixes 2 opposite genres together successfully (classical and techno) without feeling too much like a compromise. It's a nice fresh take on the song that's enjoyable even though the Minibosses allready did it.

Castlevania 2 was one of my favorite games for the NES. I love action RPG games, and having that kinda flavor in a Castlevania game rocked!
As far as the music, I've always enjoyed the Town music, and Digimatic did a great job remixing the song. It has the original Town music flavor, but is a total remix with a killer beat.

All I can say is, that this music is great background music for a DD RPG I have...

Iv grown up on Castlevania, most of the time i was playing the 2nd one Simons Quest, trying to fugure out those annoying puzzles. Anyways the Music in the game was great (not a real surprise from Castlevania). The town music was pretty good, but this remix made it seem 100x better. Its so worth downloading.

This was a DAMN good remix. Very nostalgic, as I grew up with castlevania. This song simply did not have enough coverage. The Minibosses used it in a portion of their song, but THIS one did more justice. Congrats and i look forward to your next remix.
