Arranging the music of one song...
"Opening Stage Zero"

Trancemeister FFmusic Dj has ReMixed non-FF material before, from Breath of Fire and Chrono Cross, but this marks his first departure from RPGs into the wonderful world of Capcom's ubiquitous blue hero, specifically Mega Man X4. This is Haroon's typically tight trance, with a harder edge on the drums, so you should essentially know what you're in for ahead of time if you've frequented his fine FF work in the past. However, there's a bit of newstuff(tm) in the form of an operatic male vocal that sounds like it's either from a collection of vocal riffs or was recorded specifically for this mix by Haroon or perhaps someone he knows(?) My tendency is towards the latter, even though it's pretty dern good, and adds that Lisa Gerard "Gladiator" or "The Insider"-style mysticism, save that she's female and those were movies, not games. Regardless, this is a good addition that moves the track along and makes the six+ minutes seem to go by pretty quick. There's some good changeups and breakdowns, though all the expected trance parts are in their anatomically-correct places. It's cool to see + hear a traditionally RPG-only mixer break off into something a bit different, but still bring a similar style, with similar trademarks, to the table. Good, enjoyable trance from Mr. Piracha - recommended.

Pretty sweet beat you have going on with this one. Although the vocals could have been a bit louder, I liked them. The arrangement was definitely classic hard Trance and fits the rave scene very well. I can see where people would think this is long, because it takes it's sweet time to build more than usual, but I don't think it was too long at all. Since this was made to fit a DJ Playlist-type deal, I can understand the ending. Great job all in all.

I think it gets a little long for just listening, but it's a perfect length for dancing to. The vocals were a nice touch, but were a little too buried for my tastes, and came in a little late. Overall a solid track though, sorry for all the drama with the wrong version, that's gotta suck.

While it does take a little time to expand and throw in the melody, this is a trance piece and Mr. Piracha knows it well. Makes me jump up and down and want to rave or something... honestly something that does seem to pass the test of time.
I could be wrong, of course.

I got a little confused when I read all the negative posts about FFMDJ, I'm glad that it turned out to be a little major mistake. This actually sounds like a remix you would do. Begin with heavy beats, add a synth to take the lead, throw in some nice cymbals, add one synth, turn up the speed, get the kicking started, let it slow down then charge up, go at full throttle, then rave during the rest of the 4 minutes left, and voilá, you have an excellent trance remix right out of the frying pan.
Although there was much fuss about the voice samples, it turned to be good having them around, gave this piece a little foreign touch to it. Nice to see that you're trying out new games dude. Keep up the good work!

This song is just amazing! It has made its way to my heart and is easily my fave techno song ever (yes BETTER than blue sun, Sandstorm, take me away, or any other techno song I've heard yet.) You did a great job in this. If you sold a CD of songs this quality I'd buy it just BC I'd want to support your work! This is good stuff!
(Edited BC I realized I only saw the first page. sorry guys I didn't read the whole thing.)

Freaky little screamy-whistle sound effects... Man. Those gave me goosebumps. Yeah, the ones before the 20-second mark. Made me think about... Wait... Is there a such thing as a reploid ghost?

Gets a little to ravey in a few parts, but all in all, its decent.
um.. maybe because it's suppose to? when is that ever a downfall for a song?

pretty cool- i love the original zero theme, being a megaman addict and all. Decent song. Gets a little to ravey in a few parts, but all in all, its decent.

Ok, first a little background. I used to be very much into dance clubs and the rave scene, but have more or less "dropped out" for the better part of two years. Like two days ago, a friend of mine suggested I check out this site. I then went on a downloading spree, snatching up some 40+ songs. Though the majority of them were enjoyable, THIS ONE WAS THE BEST, and BY A THICK MARGIN! Long story short, I spent hours (yes hours) dancing by myself in my bedroom with this song on repeat. Its that good. I also called up an old friend and insisted that we make "preperations" to get our butts to a rave as soon as humanly possible. Lastly, I full-on neglegted to write a term paper (which had been my reason for sitting down at my computer in the first place). If you like trance, then there is no earthly excuse for not downloading this song.

This remix is perfect for turning on any party for non-stop dancing. I love to play it on any stereo at very high volume. There's no doubt that FFMusicDJ is remixing better each time.

I dont like the begining but once zeros theme comes, all hell breaks loose.

the ending is somehting I do with every song, sortof .. you see, it's sort of a song that can be mixed into a DJ's playlist. thats why the ending sounds like it does .. I dunno what else to say, I wasnt appealing to people when I made it. same theing goes for the begining

I think this is an okay track...not one of the best, perhaps but by no means one of the worst.
I think the bass needs to be turned down when the synth is playing, though...it seems to overpower the whole thing. With that in mind, I quite like the synths. Ive noticed a couple of other reviews questionning whether they were in key or not, but they sounded alright to me (though Im not familiar with the track) so thats okay.
I also think its a little too long with little or no variation throughout (I mean...adding distorted claps doesnt count as radical variety)
The endings pretty bad as well...sounds like you got bored and wandered off...though that said its pretty good for putting into mixes because of the cut-off.
But...even with all these things...there's an overwhelming urge to listen even more...
Pretty good for fans of techno/trance, but probably not to everyones taste.

Ah, good old trance... think my favorite parts of the song is when the beat drops out for a few, then kicks back in and goes out before the theme starts up... though the ending does leave a little something to be desired, it's a good mix none the less. Good job.
