Arranging the music of one song...

I prefer my Eggman sunny side up, personally, but scrambled is good too, esp. with some salsa for kick. Hopefully all applicable listeners enjoyed their Thanksgivings and aren't out in the conspicuous post-holiday consumption known as 'Black Friday', though I've certainly seen some good deals being advertised. I've finally joined the next-genners and am the happy owner of an XBOX 360, DOA4, and Rockstar's Table Tennis. The latter is so zen simple I find myself playing it all the time; go figure that my favorite next generation title would be a glorified version of Pong ;) I never owned the original XBOX, so I also took the occasion to pick up a lot of older titles, sometimes for five or six bucks, like Ninja Gaiden. eStarland has loads of such deals for preowned titles (also picked up RE4 for the GC). As far as giving thanks, there's plenty of targets - I'm thankful to have had most of my immediate family over for a holiday dinner, for one, and for my new job, which has been working out well. From an OCR perspective, I'm thankful that we're back on track with site project releases, and that Project Chaos has set such a high watermark for the projects yet to come.
Speaking of which, Braincells and SnappleMan teamed up for this speedy metal thrashfest, and it takes absolutely no time in busting out the hardcore and chugging its way into your skull - right from the first second, it's aggressively metal and metalically aggressive. For the Lucky Charms lovers amongst you, it may also be magically delicious, but your mileage in that arena may vary; a culinary predilection for rapid-fire drums, rapid-fire rhythm guitar, noodling guitar hero lead, and a pulse that never gets cardiac arrested, but comes awful close, would help. It's boss music, of course, so you expect it to be frantic and menacing, but Snapple and Brain have added fuel to the fire and scrambled the original, then doused it with Tabasco for good measure. The end result is three and a quarter minutes of non-stop metal Robotnik rock; it won't win any awards for subtlety, nuance, or grace, but that's hardly the point. The ReMixers do an admirable job of incorporating variety, and the soloing towards the end is particularly nice. You'll still need a few Excedrin and a whiskey chaser to make the throbbing stop, but the ends justify the means.

Ah, another classic track. Anyway, Project Chaos is definitely the most metal Sonic album released by OverClocked ReMix. This track is mean and I like it. Heavy shreddage and pounding drums make this tune a classic approach to the Boss Theme. The moment at 2:10 sounds sorta arabian-inspired for me o_O. Great!

I listened to the first few seconds of the song and instantly liked it. I like how it's high energy but doesn't go over the top and is pretty dynamic. A great song to put on a workout playlist!

The Sonic games get a fair amount of attention from remixes, but this......this is just how amazing everyone wants them to sound. The arrangement, production and performances are just fantastic. The style fits like a glove to the source. Once you hear the Boss theme like this you'll never go back to the originals. Basically prepare to rock and get your face melted.

Haha! Oh, man, that evil laugh at the beginning and end was perfect! Geez, I do love metal when it's used for hard-hitting boss ReMixes. Keeps the spirit of the battle alive. The rapid-drums, excellent guitar work and epic arrangement made this ReMix. This was always my favorite Eggman theme, so I'm glad to see it done justice. Fantastic work!

Man, metal is SO much better when people don't sing. This mix is great; it almost sounds like a Mega Man tune because of the awesome stylistic interpretation. I can listen to that stuff, as well as this mix, all day!

I just want to start off to say metal is definitely not my favorite genre. That said, though, I can really appreciate the excellent production and playing chops it takes to pull off something like this. Good variation in the different parts, interplay between rhythm and lead guitars, and drum programming. Laughing interlude was amusing as well. Overall great work, even if it's a genre that doesn't necessarily pull me in personally.

This mix is completely unstoppable; The rhythm is punishing, the leads are perfect, and there are so many awesome melodic elements added in; the guitar solos, the bass fills, the great drum parts, and the rhythm guitar part 1 minute in. There is always something *AWESOME* happening in this mix.
Highly recommended.

Those drums are excellent. Guitar is excellent. Thought the laugh was funny. I think what I like about this mix the most is the way the source was interpreted. The original tune is deviated from quite a bit, but you still know where it came from. Really brilliant, I thought. Acutally makes me wanna go play Guilty Gear X or something. But yeah, I enjoyed this thoroughly; I hope high-fives were given to reward the creators of this greatness.

This Remix just SCREAMS Sonic Adventure. I swear, it sounds like a cutscene that they removed from the game due to time constraints or something...or maybe an opening video...Anyway great, great,GREAT! This thing has a kind of quality that sounds like it's straight from Sonic Team. Awesome!

It's hard, and it's fast-paced. What more could I ask for? Nice work. Seriously, we need more fast metal.
There's one thing that sounds a little strange to me, and that's the guitar playing at 1:27 (as well as 2:51) and the following two or three seconds; it's just...weird IMHO.

You got that Nightwish/Iron Maiden style .
10/10 A good song to mosh .

This is one nice remix. Keeping the evilness of Eggman and providing a more darker quality to the original tune. Also, nice use of the evil laugh. Very heavy metaly. 10/10
