More WR, so soon after his KOF13 jam? Yeah, we had this queued up in advance and then APEX 2013 hit and Shariq wanted to make sure that mix was featured, so you're getting a DOUBLE DOSE of Will in January, with a second helping consisting of this Mega Man electronica arrangement from the GRMRB:
"Basically, my 2nd and 3rd round mixes, I was holding back somewhat (which i've always done a little bit in each compo) ...this was the letting loose mix, and I came up with something very energetic. The match up of me vs Neblix was probably one of the most anticipated matches in the compo by some, reason being we are both so very competitive and have a bit of a friendly rivalry going on music wise, as well as being the only two people to join every compo in the history of the GRMRBs. Neblix ended up coming up with what was the most solid remix i've ever heard him do, and I also came up with something that many people stated was the best track i've ever done for the Mega Man Compos. Not to mention the tracks were both electronic blasts of fury which complimented each other VERY well back to back. It was probably the toughest battle of the whole compo for me, with the possible exception of round 2.
That said, this mix is def one of the best mixes i've done to date. Be sure to download it! (batteries not included)"
Great, upbeat stuff from Will, with an interesting undulating "growl" texture in the intro as arpeggios bubble and delayed piano riffs set us up for the bass intro into a beatdrop + melodic solo synth. Bloody brilliant programming on the leads, here, with runs, bends, and acrobatic feats aplenty, but Will also takes the time to bring things back down and incorporates mellower melodic elements, with a soft synth brass patch and the intro piano playing key roles. Bookend outro repeats the unique intro FX, and overall I'd agree with the artist's assessment - this arrangement has all his staple energy and soaring, spastic synth athleticism, plus achieves both dynamic AND textural variety for a total package, resulting in a track that feels very complete, hits all the bases, and rocks out along the way. Excellent!

I had this before it was an OCReMix. xD Great stuff. Loved that soft moog lead at the end a lot.

Yeah awesome song, I remember loving this one from the compo! And damn those leads are so dynamic and enjoyable. I wish I could figure out how to make leads like that

Willrock and Megaman, that's a great combo. I really liked hearing the little bits of Elecman peek around Plug Man's theme. Those electric sounding growls in the intro and ending were pretty awesome. Hell of a ReMix and compo entry you have here Willrock.

Little word of advice: Listen to this mix, and Neblix's GRMRB entry for the same week back to back - http://ocremix.org/remix/OCR02478/

Awesome mix, and one of the best to come out of the GRMRB 2011. Can't believe no one has commented yet. Excellent work, as always.
