Taking a break from Deus Ex for a second, GSlicer and The Scarborough Joker teamed up on this downbeat, psycho-chill arrangement of DKC3 from Double the Trouble! - prepare for a strange journey, rife with fx that will have you second-guessing your audio equipment. It's been a good while since we posted a ReMix this trippy; while the initially submitted version was a little light on source connections, the resub cut the mustard with a psychedelic knife. OA writes:

"This track still contains the absolutely ridonkulous effects, but is now something I recognize in regards to source! There are a decent number of melodic liberties taken, but I feel the connection is solid. :D The flow is good, and it sounds crazy on headphones; some of the stuff you've done really messes with my head, but it all sounds very deliberate and controlled. I'd love to know how you did some of this stuff. Combined with a strong beat and melodic elements, and we've got something that is very quirky and cool."

Vig adds:

"Wow...some really impressive psychoacoustic effects and editing. If I heard this in some altered state I might think there was something wrong with my speakers. Or brain."

I liked GSlicer's debut Majora's Mask ReMix back in 2007, and I'm glad to finally post a follow-up; not sure how the duties were divided on this collab, but welcome to newcomer The Scarborough Joker as well! This is a very peculiar & distinct groove that gets inside your head with all the myriad DSP applied, but still links up with the source, and added a more textural & atmospheric component to DKC3:DTT!

Well, “warped” might be the best way to describe this track. I could also describe this as “swimming in acid.” Not the acid that burns you in horrifying ways, but the acid that messes with your mind. It is so trippy, the glitching is excellent, and it contains references to Reboot. Thumbs up from me.

I can't believe I didn't catch this when I first heard, but I recognize the Reboot quote used in the beginning. "What you are experiencing...is a temporary distortion of reality." And it's an apt description of this song, which is an awesome yet strange one.

I like how the album picture from the website seems to fit the sound of this song. It’s like what would happen if the water levels mixed with the pipes and got a little….well….warped. Twisted and wonky, it’s an interesting ReMix. I like the voices used in the track.

It's an awesome SF ambient 'woah' mix.

Been curious for a while actually what OC Remix's status was regarding including sound clips in songs. There's a few in this and I'm curious where they're from.

Awesome, I love glitch songs like these, especially because I recognize a lot of these effects. Makes me want to get dBlue Glitch v2.0.2. I'm surprised the frequencies were so well-tamed.
