Watch out for snakes! Who you gonna call? If you're on a plane, Samuel L. Jackson, but if you're looking for a badass hard rock/metal ReMix of MM3 for your listening pleasure, Shinray have you covered (so to speak) & are ready to believe you with this "Snake Man" mix. If you caught S1 of Cobra Kai - which was excellent - I feel like this is just the type of jam that Johnny Lawrence would have playing in his Firebird. And that's high praise. Benoit Serraillier of Shinray writes:
"We're back in the game to submit to you this time another arrangement. Back to retro gaming with this cover of Snake Man level theme from Mega Man 3, with a little touch of Proto Man's theme in the central part.
There are so many covers of Mega Man out here that it's hard to do something that hasn't been done many times before, so here's our take on a theme that hasn't been explored that much.
We hope that you'll enjoy it, guys! If you do, please share our video. It would be very kind. ;) Thank you, OC ReMix!"
Shinray are:

This is our fourth featured ReMix from the group, and it might be my favorite - arrangement is absolutely on-point, easily identifiable but still creative & transformative, and the era of Guns & Roses and Def Leppard is channeled right proper with ripped jeans, long hair, and neon lights in tow via the production, which is crunchy, crisp, & satisfying. Incorporating "Proto Man" and mixing it up a bit is just one part of what takes this beyond a competent cover and into the spotlight-drenched arena of badass arrangements; Gario writes:
"Arrangement is absolutely beastly - even on Snakeman's own merits, the solo's and playful leads are great, but the use of Snakeman's opening beats to transition into the Protoman ballad was brilliant. The performances and synthwork are spot on, and the production is pretty solid metal production, too. It does get a little hot when under a microscope (the heaviest moments hit the limiter from time to time), but it doesn't detract from the track in a practical way. Great, great stuff."
Bustin' makes us ALL feel good, in this case. This takes me back to my youth, when we had these intense elementary school debates on whether Appetite for Destruction was better than Hysteria (yes); I can't think of a better way to apply this treatment, aesthetic, & zeitgeist to this particular source, so kudos to the gentlemen at Shinray for cooking up something potent, bustin' some snake, and rocking the hell out. Highly recommended!

This sounds like it could have been posted to OCRemix around the early years. It's that same sort of arrangement. I love it.
But now, of course, I have to ask for a remixed version where the live instruments are replaced with FL Studio loops instead. Like a lo-fi mix.

It's a nice mix. I was particularly floored by the transition segment around 1:48. The sudden calm and use of piano was really beautiful.

A two-fer dip into some fantastic handling of core source material - really impressed to see this group extract this much fun and rocking out of these two themes. Transitions were crisp bordering on amazing (2:50-3:03 being the best example), and there's multiple sections of unique solos that aren't just random riffing but seem to be a natural extension of the core theme. A must for anyone who enjoys metal and/or Mega Man!
Great job!!
