More from Seiken Densetsu 3: Songs of Light and Darkness as album director Rozovian (Ad G) teams up with Mak Eightman & Mozzaratti for an intense rock/metal track with extended instrumentation in the form of choir, chromatic percussion, & orchestral elements:
"So we have a desert-themed hometown track. Clearly we need electric guitars, staccato strings, and chromatic percussion. One of my own remixes here, to which I brought Mozzaratti and Mak for additional arrangement elements and an overhaul of guitar and drums. I'm pleased with how it turned out. The drums kick the track into gear, and the interplay between Mak's instrumentation and Moz's writing towards the end just makes me happy.
Handing it over to other people also forced me to not be the slow and nitpicking perfectionist I usually am with my own tracks, often to the detriment of those tracks and any deadlines. This track, thanks to my collaborators, is badass. Great work, gentlemen.
An additional mention goes to Usa, who caught some production flaws and requested a new mixdown. Probably the most important thing a good mastering engineer brings to the project: good, objective ears."
Usa mastered the entire album, and while I might usually be skeptical of the phrase "custom analog processing chain," in this case whatever he used DOES sound great and gives the overall end result cohesion & warmth. This arrangement is maximalist, throwing hard rock/metal into a cage with strings, choir, & winds, and seeing what happens. Well, I mean... the guitars DO win, but the drums/bass are part of that vector, and the other elements are given moments beyond just the intro to shine. I love some of the subtle processing/enveloping applied to the choir, and the agility of the flute part writing surprised me, further blurring genre lines. This track has THRUST; it'll wake you up in the morning smarter than the most potent cup of coffee, and I dig the symbiotic relationship the three collaborators achieved, with Mozz & Mak injecting their own personality into a Rozovian superstructure. Congrats to all three artists for a wild ride filled with energy to spare!

This a good remix! The energy is solid throughout and packs a punch! Shredding guitars and powerful frantic drums, what a combo! Great job on this! :)

I LOVE the atmospheric start up into an epic rock section. Great blend of genres and instruments. Another sexy SD3 remix ... it really "scavenges" my sense of aesthetics and elevates my soul to another level. Nice work Rozovian, Mozzaratti, Mak Eightman
