Arranging the music of one song...
"Elemental Sanctuary"

A short-but-transcendentally-sweet meditation on the sanctuary theme from Minish Cap, from Rebecca E. Tripp:
"This is my cover of the "Elemental Sanctuary" theme from Legend of Zelda: The Minish Cap. It's been some time since I produced a Minish Cap arrangement! I've actually been on a big MC kick lately though, so the tunes have been stuck in my head on a regular basis. This arrangement uses orchestral instruments + one unnatural-sounding bell synth to add a more "otherworldly" touch. I wanted to make a "live" version of this beautiful theme, since there are so few orchestral remixes out there of MC music, but I also felt that the track needed something a little bit more ethereal on top of the glockenspiel, harp, chimes, metals, and celesta which comprise the iconic crystal sounds."
A big part of arranging is having a knack for texture & instrument pairing, and this is something that, even as her production skills have improved & evolved, Rebecca's always had a great handle on. This brief interlude is no exception, setting a stage and populating it with delicate, metallic, & plucked timbres. Larry writes:
"A lovely arrangement approach that takes all of the tension out of the source and replaces it with a wholesome, almost angelic feel. I didn't get an "otherworldly" vibe as much as a peaceful one, but, hey, that may just be me. :-)"
Depends on the world, no doubt; a serene, reflective planet would fit the bill. Great stuff from Rebecca which, while not as ambitious & elaborate as some of her other work, has an intimate charm & atmosphere.

This remix certainly felt like a sanctuary of sorts! That interlude section in the middle that was only a couple of bright instruments was super slick! Very peaceful, very serene, and very cool. ?

Minish cap is one of the more underrated zelda's, and the small number of remixes reflects that. It's better than links awakening and LttP IMO. Glad to see somebody show it some love.
