Arranging the music of one song...
"Summon the Megalodon"
Primary Game: Sea of Thieves (Microsoft , 2018, XBONE), music by Robin BeanlandPosted 2019-09-19, evaluated by the judges panel
Avast, ye bilge-sucking grog blossoms! Here be our second & more sinister pirate tune, as captain DusK (Dustin Branscum) returns to Xbox One waters with a Sea of Thieves rock/metal arrrrrrrangement that'll shiver your timbers & have squiffy tars fallin' on the poop deck:
"It feels really good to be remixing VGM again.
With this track, inspiration hit mid-game. I was sailing, pulled out the hurdy-gurdy, and this track hit. I could kinda hear the arrangement in my head right then, and immediately set out to work on it.
I wanted to really maintain that Golden Age of Piracy feel in the track; it had to be heavy, but still something you'd hear during the tavern scene of a pirate movie. Lots of staccato strings and a fiddle. At the end, I decided to fade it into a soft campfire scene, a drum, and a whistle, just like the character that brought the shanty to us during the Hungering Deep event.
Anyway, I hope you guys like it! And if not, I look forward to reading Larry's essay. :D"
Oji be sounding like the son of a biscuit eater with all his writin' and hyperlinkin' and proper use of possessive pronouns, but ye should still savvy:
"Our second mix from the Xbox One (the first being a Halo 5 ReMix, also by Dustin). It's also International Talk Like a Pirate Day, so let's get fellow Rare music legend Robin Beanland in on the action with some sea-worthy music."
Indeed, Beanbeard the Red be a formidable captain heself, having made Sea of Thieves a right proper experience with ear-tickling tunes that'll make landlubbers grow sea legs... fore they feed the fish. Judges were most amenable and spared Dustin the hempen halter; Rexy swabs the deck with Oji's landlubbery prose & offers her own perspective:
"Shiver me timbers - this shanty gave no quarter! Dustin, ye seadog, ye ran a fine jig and battened down the hatches on this swash-buckling deck! ...the arrangement is fantastic, production values are clearly over the bar, and the performance work is top-notch. I'm glad to hear from you again, arrr!"
Jolly roger all that. Enjoy all & all enjoy, both Dustin's spirited metal tavern rock & Yffisch's gregarious campfire chantey, then take a caulk & count your doubloons, for in the morn.... we sail for grand adventure.

Very well done! This fits a pirate/sea-faring theme very well. This was definitely a rock and a half, great job!
