Bio
Leon Belmont, the main character in Castlevania: Lament of Innocence, is a noble 11th-century knight and the youngest known Belmont in any Castlevania game to date. He is a warrior without fear and fights in the name of God. When his fiancée, Sara Trantoul, is kidnapped by the vampire Walter Bernhard, he enters the forest called "Eternal Night" and seeks the vampire out in his castle. Upon his arrival in Eternal Night he meets a denizen of the forest named Rinaldo Gandolfi. Rinaldo gives him a special whip: one that later becomes the "Vampire Killer" that other Belmonts would use.
Leon uses whips, spells, potions, and other equipment that he finds throughout the castle in his search for Sara. These help him to defeat the five castle guardians that stand in his way and to thereafter confront the final boss.
