Bio
Hiryu is the hero of a 1989 side-scrolling arcade platformer called Strider. He travels around the world — from the roofs of Kafazu in Eastern Europe to the jungles of the Amazon — in search of Grandmaster Meio, an evil entity from a far-off galaxy. The game has been ported to many systems, but the Sega Genesis version is perhaps the most famous.
Hiryu is a ninja from the year 2048 A.D. He is a member of the Striders, the strongest secret maneuvers group in the world. As the youngest Strider ever to reach the "A" rank, Hiryu is an expert assassin and is very quick in killing his targets.
Even though he has saved Earth several times, he never did it by himself. He had help from other Striders and robotic animals. The ally that never leaves his side and that he can trust the most is his Cypher, called Falchion. The Cypher is a sword that most Striders wield. It is very quick and powerful in the hands of a practiced warrior.
