Leon Belmont, the main character in Castlevania: Lament of Innocence, is a noble 11th-century knight and the youngest known Belmont in any Castlevania game to date. He is a warrior without fear and fights in the name of God. When his fiancée, Sara Trantoul, is kidnapped by the vampire Walter Bernhard, he enters the forest called "Eternal Night" and seeks the vampire out in his castle.
