ReMix:Doom II: Hell on Earth "Opening to Hades" 7:55

LabyrinthGuy hits us up with a dark, twisted & tortured industrial descent into hell, or "heck" if you prefer:

"Ah, the epic final track of my American Album. Having done several Doom 2 remixes, I wanted to finish off the album by taking the rather creepy last level music, and sonically create a sense of Hell within an industrial track. Hence the screams, the monsters, the fire... and the music that builds, and builds, and builds... ooh, isn't it SCARY?! BTW, my album sequel American Pixels (in development) has a nice Diablo remix that also features fire, screaming guitar, and more... :)"

Larry sums things up nicely:

"Menacing from the word "go." Chris gets a lot of mileage out of "Opening to Hell" with a constantly evolving industrial take. I'm impressed with how Mazedude preserved the pacing of the source tune while fleshing it out with lots of original supporting writing. Props for justifying the length by keeping things mutating throughout. I mean, if you actually ended up down below, there'd be no quick escape; your situation would just become worse and worse by the minute. Welcome to hell. Enjoy your stay. Of course Chris is actually a great guy, wonderful father, devoted husband, etc. so I'd wager he's going to heaven, if you believe in morally Boolean afterlives and all that jazz :) But with this, his most sinister & darkest mix yet, you could almost convince me that he's at least VISITED and checked out some real estate opportunities in the 7th or 8th circle - wherever they keep the loud, clanky machines and spine-tingling strings & synths and what not. At 7'55" and leaning primarily on texture & discord, this almost sounds like a Getman-Newman collab with Children of the Monkey Machine at times, so if you're into apocalyptic atmospheres & malevolent maelstroms of distilled evil, you've come to the right place!!
